How do I add extra charges to a booked reservation?
Once a reservation has been booked, the host is able to add extra charges in order to cover overtime, equipment rental fees, and other charges as needed.
The "Add Extra Charges" button becomes available to hosts when a reservation has been booked and completely paid for by the guest (deposit + remaining balance).
Once the host clicks the “Add Extra Charges” button, a new field will appear where the host can manually input a description and the amount due. The amount must be in whole numbers without decimals.
The guest will receive an email notification when the host adds an extra charge.
The guest can easily submit payment via the reservation page.
Please note that AVVAY takes the standard host fee from extra charges but there is no guest fee added on top of it. The total amount the host enters is the total amount the guest pays.
