When do I get paid the remaining balance by a guest?
We ask guests to pay the remaining balance of their reservation before it begins and provide them with the ability to pay that balance at any time on their dashboard. We do not enforce this in order to provide hosts maximum flexibility for their specific situation. Some hosts may prefer to handle final payment in person, while others require it days prior to a reservation. Do what works best for you. You should communicate your final payment requirements to your guests.
If you are not interested in accepting deposits and collecting the remaining balance, you can choose to charge a guest 100% of the payment up front when you list your location. Please keep in mind that you, as a host, are responsible for refunding your guests if they cancel within the guidelines of your cancellation policy.
